Fractures around hip and thigh

Fractures around the hip and thigh are usually attended to as an emergency and rarely should you need to be transferred to a different facility for treatment. However, should you wish to discuss your condition, please do contact us. Some of the conditions, which the team are equipped to treat are:

Quadriceps tear

Occuring usually in over 40 years of age individuals, it follows an unexpected fall or sports injury. You shall notice a swelling in the lower thigh and inability to straighten your knee.

Patellar tendon tear

Commonest mechanism being a sports injury such as football or rugby, you feel a sudden pop in front of your knee. You may not be able to lift your leg or straighten the knee.
